The 15ft version of the Drennan Acolyte Ultra has that all-important extra length so vital for the improved line and float control needed for this style of river fishing. It is parÂticÂuÂlarly suitÂed for running water river fishing with a crisp tip secÂtion offering supreme line conÂtrol with stick floats, wagÂglers and bolo floats. The extra length of this three-piece rod is also a great asset when tackÂling deep water swims. Despite being 15ft the super slim and featherÂweight blank still only weighs approxÂimÂately 5 3/4oz (163g), which makes it lighter and better balÂanced than many manÂuÂfacÂturers’ 13ft models! It is perÂfectly comÂpliÂmented with reel lines from 3lb to 5lb (1.4kg to 2.3kg) and hookÂlengths from 4lb (0.15mm) right down to 11/2lb (0.09mm).
